I have an interview at Walgreen's in an hour.
This is a good thing. I have wanted to work there since the store moved into the area. I am not sure what I am being interviewed for. I know that my first choice on my application was for the one hour photo department. Second choice was pharmacy.
Anyways, this is by far the soonest I have had an interview after the phone call requesting me to come in for one. Apparently they left me a message yesterday but I didn't touch my cell phone yesterday and it as in my purse so I couldn't hear it vibrate (I wasn't expecting a call or I would have turned the ringer back on). So I called the store at about 10:45 this morning. My appointment is at 12:20.
As Laurie said, this is a really weird time for an interview. Why not 12:15 or 12:30? I said, either they figure 20 minutes for the interview or someone is taking a 20 minute break starting at noon.
This post wouldn't be complete without a little bit of Walgreen's history. Did you know that Walgreen's started in 1091? In 1922, Walgreen's invented the malted milkshake. Other Walgreen's trivia includes the fact that your prescription label can be printed in your choice of 15 languages - including Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Portuguese.
Sadly for me, the store is only about 5 minutes away so I have just enough time to kill before I can leave that I can't get started on anything for fear that I will be late. I should try to study my accounting, but I doubt I would be able to concentrate.
