The Kitchen Table

I realized today that I started this yesterday and never finished.

Let me rephrase: I started to WRITE about this yesterday and never finished.

The kitchen table is no longer a storehouse for junk. It's now a spot where I can drink tons of coffee and read the Twilight books.

I could even have a meal there if I felt like it.

I just have to convince the dog to stop walking across the top of the table whenever she feels like it, because that's just gross. Let me just say, a glass topped table with little dog footprints across the top is rather icky. Even for me, the person who once ate pizza at a horse dissection. (You read that right. To my credit, it was not my idea, and I was not the only one.)

Technically, there is enough clear space on my kitchen table so that I could even haul all 15 pounds of my accounting text book out there and sit at the table to study. No, on second thought, that probably is a bad idea. The table top is glass and the book weighs a ton. If I dropped it on top of my kitchen table life as we know it would end. Especially if any of the animals happened to be under the table.

Imagine what Angel Kitty's reaction to that would be? Considering the fact that she threatened to bite my toes off while I was sleeping because I put Frontline Plus on her so she wouldn't get fleas, I can just imagine what she would think of me breaking a glass table top in her presence.

I bet it would be really hard to breathe with 16 pounds of cat covering my face. Well, I won't give her any ideas.

I do need to use the kitchen table to finish my project for group. Hehe. I get a sarcastic laugh over every time I say "group." I know, I'm weird. But still, I need a place to lay out my poster board so I can finish it. It's supposed to be a collage of things I am grateful for. I can't find anything that will represent every day that I don't have to go to group, but I was lucky enough to find a picture of a bathtub in Better Homes magazine that I cut out as a representation of indoor plumbing. I wanted a photo of a toilet, but no luck there.

And now I'm going to be grateful for the fact that I don't have to go to group again until next Wednesday.
