I can officially say that I hate writing term papers. I even hate researching term papers. I especially hate trying to write the citations for my sources for term papers.
So much for this class being Stress Management. It's done nothing but stress me since the beginning.
I must be certifiably nuts considering I am taking an entire class devoted to nothing but college writing in the fall.
Or maybe taking that class will help me learn to like writing term papers. That would help considering that I have several more years of college to drag myself through. If I have to write one term paper per semester - well, that's more work than I really want to think about.
Anyways, I've decided that tomorrow I can take a day off from term papers. Because I'm doing that so close to deadline, I need to force myself to write at least a couple more pages for my stress management paper about pet ownership and stress. Specifically, I am looking for sources about exactly how do pets reduce our stress.
So far I have learned that dog owners generally walk more than non-dog owners. I guess this is true, but what about those people like my parents who have a dog yard and just put the dog in the fenced area? They certainly don't take Lily Beagle for walks - as is obvious by her behavior on a leash. (Thanks a lot, Dad. She was pretty good on a leash before you started yanking her all over and letting her pull.)
Good thing I went to classes to become a dog trainer. It's still not enough to train my father how to correctly work with the dog, but I do what I can. I'm still not sure why he was offended by the peanut butter trick.
I smeared peanut butter on a spoon and proceeded to walk Lily around the yard while holding the peanut buttery spoon in front of her face. Lily had the time of her life. My father did not find it funny, apparently because Lily got peanut butter all over her face and collar. To which I said, who cares? She liked it!
